Found the shell of an abandoned cabin on an island in the Ottawa river. Possible a hunting cabin. There were deer prints in the sand behind it and I can only assume they took their revenge on the former inhabitants.
Closed in the 90s, the Foy sign still stands to guide the ghosts of Ontario campers.
Down a logging road at Basin Depot this cabin claims to be the oldest in Algonquin. It’s wide open for any to squat in.
The abandoned Foy provincial park still has trails down to a beautiful beach on Round lake.
